YOUR ENTRY IN THIS CHALLENGE CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE RULES (THE “RULES”)
The challenge hosted and administered by Wirestock (the “Challenge”) is a skill-based contest where participants must use OpenAI’s Sora model (the “Applicable Tool”), to create a video that embodies and reflects the theme, as specified by Wirestock at Challenge Website (defined below) (the “Theme”). The “Challenge Site” is the website located at https://wirestock.io/challenges-openai. Wirestock will perform administrative functions relating to hosting the Challenge and with respect to such functions, Wirestock (and not Sponsor) will be responsible for any breach of its obligations, and you agree not to pursue any claims against Sponsor with respect to such breach.
The video you create using the Applicable Tool (referred to herein as the “Entry” will be evaluated by judges, who will choose the winner(s) in accordance with these Rules. The prize(s) will be awarded to the participant(s) with the most votes awarded based on the judging criteria specified in these Rules (the “Judging Criteria”). See below for complete details.
Binding Agreement
In order to participate in the Challenge, you must agree to these Rules. Please read these Rules carefully prior to entering the Challenge. You agree that your participation in the Challenge and submission of an Entry constitutes your agreement to these Rules. If you do not agree, please do not participate. You may not submit an Entry to the Challenge, and you are not eligible to receive any prize(s) described in either these Rules unless you agree to the Rules.
Eligibility
To be eligible to enter the Challenge, you must be: (1) above the age of majority in the country, state, province, or jurisdiction of your residence at the time you enter; (2) not a resident of Crimea, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, or a resident of any other country or territory not listed here; (3) not a person or entity under U.S. export controls or sanctions; and (4) have an active Wirestock Account in good standing (not suspended) as of the date you submit your Entry. The Challenge is void in Crimea, the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic, Cuba, Iran, Syria, North Korea, Russia, Belarus, and where prohibited by law. Employees, interns, and contractors of Wirestock and Sponsor, and its affiliates, partners, and their respective directors, officers, employees, advertising and promotion agencies, representatives, and agents, and immediate families (parents, siblings, children, spouses, and life partners of each, regardless of where they live) of the Challenge Entities are ineligible to participate in the Challenge. "Challenge Entities" means the Sponsor, Wirestock and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates. Wirestock reserves the right to verify eligibility and to decide whether a participant is, at any time.
If you enter the Challenge as part of a company or on behalf of your employer, or an entity owned by you, you agree these Rules are binding on you, individually, and your employer or your entity. If you enter the Challenge while acting within the scope of your employment, as an employee, contractor, or agent of another party, you warrant that such party has full knowledge of your actions and has agreed and/or consented thereto, including your potential receipt of a prize. You further warrant that your actions do not violate your employer’s or company’s policies and procedures.
Sponsor
The Challenge is sponsored by OpenAI OpCo, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with a principal place of business at 1455 Third Street, San Francisco, CA 94158, USA (“Sponsor”).
Challenge Period
The Challenge begins on 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time (PT) zone on June 16, 2025, and ends on June 23, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. PT zone (the “Challenge Period”). You understand and agree that you are solely responsible for determining the corresponding time zone for your respective jurisdiction.
How to Enter the Challenge
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. To enter the Challenge, please visit the Challenge Site, located at https://wirestock.io/challenges-openai, on or prior to the beginning of the Challenge Period, and follow the instructions for submitting your Entry.
The Entry requirements are as follows (the “Requirements”):
Participant must only use OpenAI’s Sora model to create their Entry;
The Entry must depict educational scenarios of the future, including the use of innovative technology or new learning methods;
The Entry must be exactly 10 seconds and uploaded in 1080p resolution;
The Entry must have one of the following acceptable aspect ratios: 16.9 or 3.2;
Participant may submit multiple unique entries as long as they have available submission slots based on their Wirestock account submission limits;
All entries must have been originally and newly generated specifically for the Challenge.
Participants must also include the link to the generated video on the Sora website along with their Entry submission.
An Entry is void if it is in whole or in part ineligible, incomplete, damaged, altered, counterfeited, obtained through fraud or violation of law, or late. All entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the Wirestock account at the time of Entry, and the potential winner may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder for that Wirestock account.
The Sponsor and Wirestock, their respective agents and/or the Judges (defined below) may evaluate each Entry to ensure that the Entry meets the Requirements. The Sponsor and Wirestock, reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any participant who submits an Entry that does not meet the Requirements.
Judging
Each Entry will be judged by Wirestock’s employees or individuals selected by Wirestock (the “Judges”).
Participants submit their Entry during the Challenge Period. Once the Challenge Period expires, the Judges will determine the winner based on these Rules, including the Judging Criteria.
Judging Criteria
The criteria used by the Judges to determine a winner(s) is as follows:
Initial Review:
After the Challenge Period expires, the Judges will review all entries and select a shortlist of the top 30 entries based on the following criteria:
Originality and creativity: How unique and imaginative is participant’s vision of the “Classroom of Tomorrow”?
Relevance to Theme: How clearly does the video align with the Challenge Theme?
Visual Quality: Are there minimal to no visual artifacts? Is the output polished and consistent?
Conceptual Depth: Does the Entry reflect thoughtful ideas about the future of education and learning?
Final Review:
The shortlisted entries will then be evaluated by the Judges. Each Judge will vote on their favorite Entry, and the final ranking will be determined based on the total number of votes received by each shortlisted Entry.
The ten entries receiving the highest number of votes from the Judges will be selected as the “Top 10 Winners” and awarded prizes as outlined here. Each participant can be part of the Top 10 Winners only once.
The winner(s) of the Challenge will be notified by email (to the email address associated with the participant on file with Wirestock).
In the event that no entries are received, no prize will be awarded. Determinations of judges are final and binding, and not appealable.
Prizes for Challenge Winners
Prizes will be awarded as follows:
The Top 10 Winners will share a total cash prize of $2,000.00, awarded as follows:
1st place: $1,000.00
2nd place: $500.00
3rd place: $300.00
4th place: $100.00
5th place: $50.00
6th through 10th places: $10.00 each.
1st place winner will also receive a 3-month Sora Pro subscription (ARV: $60.00).
The Top 10 Winners will each receive a 1-month Sora Pro subscription (ARV: $20 per subscription).
Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for the Challenge on or before the Challenge end date specified in the Challenge Period, and the skill of the entrants. The prize(s) will be awarded within approximately 1-3 weeks of receipt by Wirestock of final prize acceptance documents, if any. No transfer, substitution, or cash equivalent for the prize(s) is allowed, except at Wirestock’s sole discretion. Wirestock reserves the right to substitute a prize, in whole or in part, of equal or greater monetary value if a prize cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, as described for any reason. Value is subject to market conditions, which can fluctuate, and any difference between actual market value and ARV will not be awarded. The prize(s) may be subject to restrictions and/or licenses and may require additional hardware, software, service, or maintenance to use. Where applicable, the winner shall bear all responsibility for using the prize(s) in compliance with any conditions and terms imposed by the service provider and any additional costs associated with its use, service, or maintenance. The Challenge Entities have not made, and they are not responsible in any manner for any warranties, representations, or guarantees, express or implied, in fact, or law, relating to the prize(s), regarding the use, value, or enjoyment of the prize(s), including, without limitation, its quality or fitness for a particular purpose.
Money prizes will be awarded in U.S. dollars and will be delivered to the winner(s) Wirestock account.
Taxes
WINNERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TAX LIABILITY OR OBLIGATION THAT MAY RESULT AS A RESULT OF RECEIVING A PRIZE(S). WINNERS AGREE TO COOPERATE WITH WIRESTOCK IF, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, IT DETERMINES FURTHER INFORMATION IS NEEDED FOR WIRESTOCK AND/OR THE SPONSOR TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THEIR TAX REPORTING OR WITHHOLDING OBLIGATIONS.
Payment(s) to potential winners is subject to the requirement that the winners submit to Wirestock all documentation requested by Wirestock to permit it to comply with all applicable state, federal, local and foreign (including provincial) tax reporting and withholding requirements. All prizes will be net of any taxes Wirestock is required by law to withhold. In order to receive a prize, potential winners must submit the tax documentation requested by Wirestock or otherwise required by applicable law, to Wirestock or the relevant tax authority, all as determined by applicable law including, where relevant, the law of the potential winner's country of residence. The potential winner(s) are responsible for ensuring that they comply with all the applicable tax laws and filing requirements. If a potential winner fails to provide such documentation or comply with such laws, the prize may be forfeited and Wirestock may, in its sole discretion, select an alternative potential winner.
Right to Disqualify
All federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations apply. Wirestock reserves the right to disqualify any entrant from the Challenge if, in Wirestock's sole discretion, it reasonably believes that the entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Challenge by cheating, deception, or other unfair playing practices or annoys, abuses, threatens or harasses any other entrants, Wirestock, the Sponsor, or the Judges
Intellectual Property
By submitting an Entry in the Challenge, the entrant warrants and represents that they own or have the right to use the intellectual property in the Entry for purposes of the Entry. In addition, the entrant agrees that if any portion of the Entry is deemed to be owned by the entrant, they do, upon submitting their Entry, grant the Challenge Entities a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free and fully-paid up, and non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publicly display and perform, create a derivative work from, the Entry for the purpose of allowing the Challenge Entities to advertise, display, or otherwise promote the Challenge. The entrant specifically agrees that the Challenge Entities shall have the right to use, reproduce, publicly perform, and publicly display the Entry in connection with the advertising and promotion of the Challenge via communication to the public or other groups, including, but not limited to the right to make screenshots, animations and video clips available for promotional purposes.
Privacy
Participant acknowledges and agrees that Wirestock may collect, store, share, and otherwise use personally identifiable information provided during the registration process and the Challenge, including, but not limited to, name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. Wirestock will use this information in accordance with its Privacy Policy (https://wirestock.io/docs/privacy), including for administering the Challenge and verifying Participant's identity, postal address, and telephone number in the event an entry qualifies for a prize. Participant also acknowledges and agrees that Wirestock may share all Entries, including any personally identifiable information related to the Entry with the Sponsor.
Participant's information may also be transferred to countries outside the country of Participant's residence, including the United States. Such other countries may not have privacy laws and regulations similar to those of the country of Participant's residence.
If a participant does not provide the mandatory data required at registration, Wirestock reserves the right to disqualify the Entry.
Participant has the right to request access, review, rectification or deletion of any personal data held by Wirestock in connection with the Challenge by writing to Wirestock at this email address: support@wirestock.io.
Publicity
By accepting a prize, the entrant agrees to Wirestock, Sponsor, and their respective agencies use of their name and/or likeness and Entry for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Warranty, Indemnity, and Release
Entrants warrant that their Entries are their own original work and, as such, they are the sole and exclusive owner and rights holder, if rights are granted by applicable law, of the submitted Entry and that they have the right to submit the Entry in the Challenge and grant all required licenses. Each entrant agrees not to submit any Entry that (1) infringes any third-party proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity or confidentiality obligations; or (2) otherwise violates the applicable state or federal law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, each entrant indemnifies and agrees to keep Challenge Entities at all times from and against any liability, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, and expenses resulting from any act, default, or omission of the entrant and/or a breach of any warranty set forth herein. To the maximum extent permitted by law, each entrant agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Challenge Entities from and against any and all claims, actions, suits or proceedings, as well as any and all losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or accruing from (a) any Entry or other material uploaded or otherwise provided by the entrant that infringes any copyright, trademark, trade secret, trade dress, patent or other intellectual property right of any person or defames any person or violates their rights of publicity or privacy, (b) any misrepresentation made by the entrant in connection with the Challenge; (c) any non-compliance by the entrant with these Rules; (d) claims brought by persons or entities other than the parties to these Rules arising from or related to the entrant's involvement with the Challenge; and (e) acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Challenge-related activity or participation in this Challenge.
Entrant releases the Challenge Entities from any liability associated with: (a) any malfunction or other problem with the Challenge Site; (b) any error in the collection, processing, or retention of entry information; or (c) any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any prize or winners.
Elimination
Any false information provided within the context of the Challenge by any entrant concerning identity, mailing address, telephone number, email address, ownership of right or non-compliance with these Rules, or the like, as determined by Wirestock, may result in the immediate elimination of the entrant from the Challenge.
Internet
Challenge Entities are not responsible for any malfunction of the entire Challenge Site or any late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, or destroyed Entries or entry materials due to system errors, failed, incomplete or garbled computer or other telecommunication transmission malfunctions, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, typographical or system/human errors and failures, technical malfunction(s) of any telephone network or lines, cable connections, satellite transmissions, servers or providers, or computer equipment, traffic congestion on the Internet or at the Challenge Site, or any combination thereof, including other telecommunication, cable, digital or satellite malfunctions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate.
Right to Cancel, Modify or Disqualify
If for any reason the Challenge is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Challenge, Wirestock reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Challenge. Wirestock further reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the submission process or any other part of the Challenge or Challenge Site. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website, including the Challenge Site, or undermine the legitimate operation of the Challenge is a violation of criminal, and civil laws and should such an attempt be made; Wirestock reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent of the applicable law.
Voluntary Participation in Challenge
The submission of an Entry to the Challenge, the awarding of a prize, or anything in these Rules shall not be construed as an offer or contract of employment with either Wirestock or the Challenge Entities. You acknowledge that you have submitted your Entry voluntarily and not in confidence or in trust. You acknowledge that no confidential, fiduciary, agency or other relationship or implied-in-fact contract now exists between you and Wirestock or the Challenge Entities and that no such relationship is established by your submission of an Entry under these Rules.
Dispute Resolution
By entering the Challenge, you agree that any dispute, claim, demand, or controversy related to the Challenge or these Rules will be governed by the “Resolving Disputes” section contained in Wirestock’s Terms of Service, which can be found here: https://wirestock.io/docs/terms_of_use. The “Resolving Disputes” section is incorporated herein.
